Through this opportunity, USASA will be able to reach further into the Hispanic community and Alianza will continue to attract the most competitive teams.
Alianza de Futbol, the leading national organization dedicated to the support and development of amateur Hispanic soccer in the US and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), have agreed to a partnership that will enable teams in select cities to be part of Verizon Copa Alianza, the most prestigious Hispanic amateur soccer tournament in the United States, with more than $100,000 in prize money available this year.
This partnership will kick off in five cities during the 2021 Alianza tour: Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles. USASA affiliated teams will now be allowed to participate in Verizon Copa Alianza in these markets.
"As the predominant Association for competitive amateur soccer in the U.S. it is a natural step for USASA to partner with Alianza de Futbol the leading organization for the support and development of amateur Hispanic soccer in the United States," mentioned Duncan Riddle, Executive Director, USASA.
"We are very excited about this partnership with USASA as it will increase the opportunities for clubs to participate in our prestigious adult tournament, Verizon Copa Alianza," said Joaquin Escoto, Senior Vice President of For Soccer Ventures, owner of Alianza de Futbol.
