Lansdowne Boys FC, the champions of New York City's Cosmopolitan League, will square off against Junior Lone Star FC of the Philadelphia Premier Soccer League for the USASA Region I Amateur Cup championship. The winner will advance to the USASA National Amateur Cup national semi-finals.

Lansdowne advanced to the final by virtue of an 8-0 thrashing of the Brick Lions FC from New Jersey. Meanwhile, Junior Lone Star earned their way to the final by winning a hard fought semi-final match on the road 1-0 over the Rochester RiverDogz from Western New York.

Both clubs have been near unbeatable in all competitions in the 2016-17 US Soccer seasonal year. Lansdowne is an impressive 21-1-2 (W-L-D) and Junior Lone Star is 18-2-2. The Region I championship will be played at Ukrainian Sports Club in Horsham, PA on Saturday, June 17.
