2016 U.S. Soccer National Amateur Championship Draw

The opening games of the 2016 U.S. Soccer National Amateur Championship will feature the Chicago Fire verses the West Chester United while Chattanooga FC will play Quinto Elemento!

BRIDGEVIEW - The 2016 U.S. Soccer National Amateur Championship draw took place on Friday, April 15th at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL. US Adult Soccer Executive Director Duncan Riddle and former General Secretary of U.S. Soccer and National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee, Hank Steinbrecher, conducted the draw.

The fourth annual U.S. Soccer National Amateur Championship will return to last year's host, Chattanooga, TN the weekend of May 27-29. It will be hosted by Chattanooga FC at UT-Chattanooga's Finley Stadium.

The draw determined the opening day games on May 27. Teams competing this year are the Chicago Fire, Chattanooga FC, Quinto Elemento and West Chester United. The Chicago Fire will face West Chester United at 5:00pm while Chattanooga FC will play Quinto Elemento at 7:30pm. 

West Chester United are the reigning USASA Open Cup Champions and Quinto Elemento are the USASA Amateur Cup Champions, while the Chicago Fire and Chattanooga FC represent the USL PDL and NPSL, respectively.

"The title of best amateur team in the United States is again on the line," US Adult Soccer Executive Director Duncan Riddle said. "Chattanooga was an amazing host last year and we're excited to bring the championship back to Finley Stadium. I look forward to seeing the teams battle it out for the Hank Steinbrecher Trophy.
